Research Assistants and Postdocs: The Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Georgia is seeking graduate research assistants and postdocs to join the Yang lab’s research on the crosstalk between plant immunity and development. The lab is currently working on two projects: 1) molecular mechanisms of Age-Related Resistance in plants, and 2) the crosstalk between plant immunity and tissue regeneration.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- For graduate research assistants: Bachelor’s degree in biology, plant genetics, biochemistry, or related majors. Good communication skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- For postdoc candidates: Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, plant genetics, or related majors. Good communication skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Job Description:
- Conduct research on the crosstalk between plant immunity and development
- Work on the assigned projects: molecular mechanisms of Age-Related Resistance in plants and the crosstalk between plant immunity and tissue regeneration.
- Participate in lab meetings and present research findings
- Prepare manuscripts for publication
- Collaborate with other lab members and assist with their research when necessary
