Job Description
The Laboratory of Visual Intelligence for Transportation (VITA) at EPFL conducts research at the intersection of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Human-Robot Interaction. The laboratory aims to redefine how machines perceive human actions, anticipate intentions, and engage in seamless human-machine collaboration.
As a Postdoctoral Researcher in Gen AI, your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing innovative generative AI algorithms and architectures for real-time video generation.
- Creating technologies for digital doubles and realistic, human-like virtual avatars.
- Conducting high-impact research, publishing in leading computer vision and machine learning venues (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICRA).
- Collaborating with an international team of PhD students, researchers, and academic/industry partners.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A completed (or near-completion) PhD in Computer Vision, Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Technical Background: Strong research background in Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.
- Data & Computing Skills: Solid computational, programming, and analytical abilities, with hands-on experience in managing and training models on large-scale datasets.
- Soft Skills: High degree of independence, creativity, strong problem-solving mindset, and excellent interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
