Eligibility / Qualification
Applicants of all nationalities must meet the following criteria:
- Have been living and working abroad for at least two years after completing their PhD (including postdoctoral appointments, research fellowships, and/or permanent academic or research positions).
- Be residing abroad at the time of proposal submission.
- Wish to establish or consolidate their research career at a research institution in the State of São Paulo.
- Demonstrate significant achievements since PhD completion, showing originality, independence, leadership capacity, and potential to develop high-impact research.
Job Description
Successful candidates will establish a research laboratory and develop a dedicated, independent research program at an institution in the State of São Paulo. The maximum duration of the project is 60 months, with a potential extension of up to 12 months. Principal Investigators are encouraged to apply for open permanent positions at the host institution or other universities in the state during the project execution.
Support Offered
FAPESP provides comprehensive backing under this call:
- Maximum funding available per proposal is BRL 2,500,000.00.
- A Young Investigator Fellowship awarded for up to the full duration of the grant.
- Eligibility for relocation support, including airfare for the applicant, if currently living abroad.
- Options to request scholarships and postdoctoral fellowships following standard guidelines.
