Eligibility/Qualification

Required Qualifications:

  • M.S. in sustainable systems, sustainable engineering, or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following: lifecycle assessment, scenario planning/modeling, industrial ecology, or related systems analysis methods.
  • 2+ years of research or consulting experience in fields such as energy, transportation/mobility, built environment, agro-food systems, water systems, or consumer goods.
  • Proficiency in statistical/data analysis (e.g., R), LCA tools (e.g., SimaPro), and Advanced Excel functions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PhD or dual MBA degree.
  • Experience with published academic research.
  • Background in writing research or grant proposals.

Job Description

As a CSS Research Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Principal Investigators and project team members on research proposals and grant writing.
  • Conducting literature reviews and background research to support ongoing projects.
  • Utilizing systems analysis methods for quantitative research.
  • Contributing to the writing of various reports, whitepapers, and academic papers.
  • Engaging effectively with external research partners and clients across different sectors, including industry and government.
