Doctoral and Postdoctoral Positions: The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites applications for doctoral and postdoctoral positions in the Chair of Decision Sciences and Systems. This opportunity is part of the ERC Advanced Grant project titled “Equilibrium Learning, Uncertainty, and Dynamics” (ELUD), focusing on the automated interactions of learning agents in market environments.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • For Doctoral Candidates:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
  • For Postdoctoral Researchers:
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or Mathematics, with experience in Optimization, Game Theory, and/or Machine Learning.
  • Strong academic record with top grades and relevant publications (if applicable).
  • Proficiency in English; German language skills are not required.

Job Description:

  • Engage in collaborative research within the team.
  • Contribute to teaching activities and broader academic life.
  • Develop new algorithms for computing equilibria and address game-theoretic problems showcasing cyclic or chaotic dynamics.
