Doctoral Researcher (Multidisciplinary): The University of Oulu is seeking a highly motivated Doctoral Researcher to join the Hybrid Intelligence (HI) research program. This multidisciplinary initiative, supported by the Academy of Finland, focuses on Human-AI Co-evolution and Learning in multi-realities. The position is based at the Faculty of Education and Psychology, specifically in the Learning and Educational Technology (LET) Research Lab.

- Master’s degree in learning sciences, computer science, or a relevant field obtained within the last five years.
- Transdisciplinary research orientation with demonstrated research experience or interest.
- Team player with strong research and development skills.
- Willingness to engage in the study of human learning processes and the design and development of AI systems.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in English.
Description: The Doctoral Researcher will be part of the HI profiling research program, conducting multidisciplinary research using advanced analytical methods, including multimodal and AI-driven learning analytics. The focus is on comprehending human learning processes and developing socio-technical systems for hybrid intelligence. Responsibilities include conducting research within a team, managing project-related tasks, and disseminating findings in leading international scientific journals.

Salary: The position is fixed-term for 4 years, starting from 15.04.2024, or negotiable. The starting gross salary will be approx. €2300-€2600 per month (before taxes). A trial period of 6 months is applied.
