Eligibility/Qualification–
Educational Qualification:
Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, focussing on areas related to holography, bootstrap, and 2D CFTs.
Desirable experience :
- Familiarity with conformal bootstrap techniques
- Familiarity with gravity and cosmology
- Experience with using Mathematica and Python
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for one Research Associate-1 position in an ANRF sponsored project, titled “Bootstrapping black holes in gravitational scattering” in the area of bootstrap andS-matrix / amplitude methods to answer the questions at the interface of gravitational scattering, black-hole physics, quantum field theory, and conformal field theory, with an emphasis on both conceptual developments and high-precision computations. This position is tenable at Department of Physics, IIT Kanpur under the supervision of the undersigned.
Salary: 58,000/- + HRA
The position is for 1 year.
