Study Area
The doctoral student will specialize in emerging value chains for the battery industry, particularly focusing on the EU’s initiatives to electrify the transport sector and develop sustainable and competitive manufacturing industries.
Scholarship Description
The doctoral student will engage in research exploring the opportunities and challenges in the European and global battery economy. The position is part of COMPEL, a strategic initiative by the Swedish government aimed at strengthening research in battery technology and electrification. The role includes participating in research projects, taking third cycle courses, and may involve teaching and other departmental duties (up to 20%).
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a second-cycle qualification or have completed at least 240 credits, with 60 credits at the second cycle.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written).
Additional Requirements:
- Relevant advanced-level credits (at least 30).
- Ability to work independently and handle research problems.
- Experience with quantitative methods and data analysis software.
- Multidisciplinary research experience is a plus.
