Research Area

The research will focus on the biomineralization of magnetosomes by magnetotactic bacteria, aiming to uncover mechanisms behind magnetosome crystal morphogenesis and explore biomedical applications of microbial magnetic nanoparticles through synthetic biology approaches.

Eligibility/Qualification

Job Description

The successful candidate will engage in a DFG-funded research project focusing on:

  • Investigating the mechanisms of magnetosome morphogenesis.
  • Engineering conditions for the biomedical application of microbial magnetic nanoparticles via synthetic biology techniques.
