Eligibility/Qualification

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Hold qualifications equal to one of the following:
  • Australian First Class Bachelor (Honours) degree
  • Coursework Masters with at least 25% research component
  • Research Masters degree
  • Equivalent overseas qualifications
  • Strong academic performance in relevant subjects (chemical engineering, polymer engineering, or material engineering/science).
  • Understanding of concrete durability and willingness to learn cement and concrete chemistry.
  • Motivation to undertake advanced study.
  • International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency.

Description

The project focuses on improving the durability of concrete infrastructure by incorporating novel admixtures with self-healing capabilities. This innovative research seeks to reduce the need for frequent repairs and lower overall maintenance costs by tackling issues related to water ingress and environmental degradation.
