Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification
- MRes, MSc, or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fewer than 4 years of research experience.
- Must not hold a PhD.
- Must not have resided or carried out main activities (work or studies) in the UK for more than 12 months in the past three years.
Job Description
- Develop and characterize biocompatible nano/micropatterned antimicrobial coatings.
- Examine process requirements for fabricating functional topographies on model devices related to IDAIs.
- Correlate performance with antimicrobial action and select the best materials for practical application.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and participate in a hospital internship during the first year.
