Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering Graduate Research Assistantship (MS/Ph.D. Level, Spring/Fall 2024)
This Graduate Research Assistantship provides comprehensive support for MS/Ph.D. students at South Dakota State University. The successful applicant will work closely with Dr. Pappu Kumar Yadav, an Assistant Professor of Precision Agriculture, on diverse research areas within precision agriculture. This includes cutting-edge technologies such as remote sensing, computer vision, robotics, and artificial intelligence to address critical global challenges related to crop diseases, weed identification, precision spray applications, disease detection, and crop phenotyping.
We are seeking innovative, self-motivated candidates who are comfortable working in interdisciplinary settings. The chosen student is expected to disseminate their research findings through high-quality peer-reviewed journal publications and conference presentations.
Eligibility: Prospective applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria:
- BS/MS degree in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplines with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, CircuitPython, MATLAB, C, C++.
