About- The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi invites applications from Indian nationals for the position of Project Research Scientist-I under an ICMR-funded project focused on vaccine candidate development against arboviruses. This is a contractual position offering a competitive salary and an opportunity to work in advanced structural biology and virology research.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential Qualifications
- PhD in Structural Biology or related field
- Strong academic record throughout
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in:
- Protein purification
- Biophysical and biochemical techniques
- Structural biology methods (especially X-ray crystallography)
Desirable Skills
- Expertise in protein crystallization
- Experience in diffraction data collection
- Handling X-ray facilities
- Structure determination and relevant software tools
- Basic knowledge of Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM)
- Willingness to work on viral protein structures and complexes

The selected candidate will:
- Conduct advanced research in structural biology of viral proteins
- Perform protein purification and characterization
- Carry out crystallization and X-ray diffraction studies
- Analyze structural data and contribute to vaccine candidate development
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team
- Learn and apply Cryo-EM techniques where required
