Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Biology or related fields (or to be completed before starting the position).
- Experience in evolutionary genomics, transcriptomics, or evo-devo field, with proficiency in bioinformatics.
- Motivation and enthusiasm for biology, nature, and science, particularly in researching deep-sea fishes.
Job Description:
- Investigate the evolution of the visual sensory system in deep-sea fishes using molecular and evolutionary genomic approaches.
- Conduct genomics, regulation of expression, and single-cell transcriptomics in species with extreme sensory adaptations.
- Work independently on genomic architecture and regulation, including the analysis of single-cell RNA and ATAC-seq data.
- Interpret findings in the context of fish evolution and life, and present research at international conferences.
- Author research publications and contribute to ongoing collaborations and fieldwork.
