About- Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat is established by the Government of India by an Act of Parliament, offering undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral programs in engineering, technology, and the sciences.

Research/Job Area-

• Computer Science & Engineering
• Artificial Intelligence

Applicants must possess the required Ph.D. specialization as prescribed in Annexure-II of the official advertisement. The Institute may consider additional specializations as deemed appropriate during the screening process.

Location- NIT Surat, Gujarat, India

Eligibility/Qualification–

Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed under Schedule ‘E’ of the NIT Statutes (Amended 2017) and the Gazette Notification dated 12 June 2023.

Essential Requirements

• Must be an Indian National.
• Excellent academic record with a commitment to teaching, research, and institutional development.
• Educational qualifications, experience, and credit point requirements must be as per the NIT Statutes and Ministry of Education guidelines.
• Candidates must possess the required Ph.D. specialization mentioned in Annexure-II.
• Applicants under OBC (NCL) and EWS categories must produce a valid certificate issued on or after 1 April 2026.

Reservation

• Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will be applicable as per Government of India norms.

Important Note

Candidates who have already appeared for the interview for the post of Assistant Professor Grade-II two or more times against the specified previous SVNIT advertisements are not eligible to apply under this advertisement.
