About- The Government of India, through the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG), has set up Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Jais, Uttar Pradesh on the lines of IITs under the Act of Parliament 54/2007 with an empowerment to award degrees and conduct front-end research. Institue has been granted status of “An Institution of National Importance” by the Parliament. The Institue is promoted by six leading Oil PSUs (ONGC, IOCL, OIL, GAIL, BPCL and HPCL) in India, in association with Oil Industrial Development Board (OIDB) and positioned as a “World Class” Institution.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Age Limit:
Below 37 years as on the last date of application.
Educational Qualification:
- PhD in Science/Engineering, or
- Master’s in Engineering with relevant professional experience (for CSE/IT and allied areas).
Academic Requirement:
At least one degree (UG/PG/PhD) from a Top 250 QS-ranked international university (outside India).
Experience Requirement:
- Minimum 3 years of post-doctoral experience in reputed international universities/organizations.
- Strong publication record, patents, or PhD supervision preferred.
- For CSE/IT: Master’s degree with 10+ years of international teaching/research/industry experience is acceptable.
Research/Industry Achievements:
- Strong academic and research portfolio with publications, patents, IPRs, or books.
- Industry experience at managerial level in design, execution, planning, analysis, innovation, or R&D.
Additional Conditions:
- Must not hold any position in an Indian institution.
- Must be employed abroad at the time of application.
- Age and experience will be evaluated as per last date of submission.

Assistant Professor (Tenure Track)
