About- Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University (BKNMU), Junagadh, invites online applications from eligible Indian nationals for direct recruitment of regular Teaching Positions in various PG Departments. These positions are to be filled in accordance with the approval granted by the Education Department, Govt. of Gujarat, and the Gujarat Public Universities Uniform Statutes-2024.

Note: The post of Associate Professor in Chemistry (Analytical) is currently in abeyance. Appointment orders will only be issued subject to approval from the Finance Department.

Research/Job Area-

Life Sciences: Specialization in Zoology
Chemistry & Forensic Science: Specialization in Chemistry (Analytical)

Location- Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Government Polytechnic Campus, Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University Road, Khadiya, Junagadh – 362263, Gujarat.

Eligibility/Qualification–

1. Professor (Zoology)

Eligibility A:

Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
Active Research: Evidence of published work of high quality with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
Research Score: Total research score of 120 (as per Appendix II, Table 2, UGC Regulations-2018).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level with evidence of successfully guiding a doctoral candidate.

Eligibility B:

An outstanding professional having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines from any academic institution/industry.
Significant contribution to knowledge in the discipline supported by documentary evidence.
Minimum 10 years of experience.

2. Associate Professor (Chemistry – Analytical)

Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
Research: Minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC CARE listed journals.
Research Score: Total research score of 75 (as per Appendix II, Table 2, UGC Regulations-2018).

Professor: Pay Level-14 (Range: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200)
Associate Professor: Pay Level-13A (Range: ₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100)

Role: Candidates will be responsible for teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the university.
Service Rules: Service conditions will be governed by the Gujarat Public Universities Uniform Statutes-2024 and UGC regulations.
Probation/Term: Appointed teachers may be assigned other academic or administrative responsibilities in addition to regular teaching.
Superannuation: Age of superannuation shall be as per Govt. of Gujarat norms.
