Eligibility/Qualification–

Professor – Economics, Human Rights, Public Administration and Demographic Studies

Candidates must meet one of the prescribed eligibility routes:

• Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Evidence of high-quality published research, including at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed journals and a research score of 120 as per the specified UGC criteria.
• At least 10 years of teaching experience at Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor level and/or equivalent research experience, with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.

Alternatively, an outstanding professional with a relevant Ph.D. and significant contribution to knowledge, supported by documentary evidence and 10 years’ experience, may be considered.

Professor – Law

• LL.M. in Law.
• Ph.D. in Law.
• Other qualifications and conditions as prescribed under UGC Regulations, 2018.

Professor – Civil Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering

• Ph.D. in the relevant field.
• First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch.
• Minimum 10 years’ teaching/research/industry experience, including at least 3 years at a post equivalent to Associate Professor.
• Research publication and Ph.D. supervision requirements as specified in the advertisement.

Associate Professor – Hindi / Human Development & Family Studies

• Good academic record.
• Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• Minimum 8 years’ teaching/research experience at a position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
• At least 7 peer-reviewed journal publications and a research score of 75 under the specified UGC criteria.

Assistant Professor – English

The prescribed qualification includes:

• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the concerned/relevant/allied subject.
• UGC/CSIR NET or an equivalent UGC-accredited SLET/SET, or qualifying Ph.D. under the specified UGC regulations, subject to the exemptions and conditions stated in the advertisement.

A Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among the world’s top 500 by QS, THE or ARWU is also specified under the alternative eligibility route.

Assistant Professor – Education

For Perspectives in Education / Foundation Courses, candidates require either:

• Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences with at least 55% + M.Ed. with at least 55%; or
• M.A. in Education with at least 55% + B.Ed./B.El.Ed. with at least 55%.

UGC-NET/JRF/Ph.D. in Education and other qualifications prescribed by UGC/NCTE are also specified.

For Curriculum and Pedagogic Courses, a relevant postgraduate degree with at least 55%, M.Ed. with at least 55%, and UGC-NET/JRF/Ph.D. in Education are prescribed. Separate provisions apply to Music and Fine Arts.

Professor-cum-Resident Director

The position is for the BBAU Satellite Centre at Amethi.

• Academic Level 14.
• Preferably below 60 years.
• Five-year tenure or until superannuation at 65, whichever is earlier.
• Relevant subjects include Pharmacy, Commerce, Information Technology, Computer Science, History, Sociology, Food & Nutrition and English.
• Direct recruitment requires the prescribed Professor-level qualifications plus three years of administrative experience.
• Deputation candidates must meet the prescribed qualifications and experience in educational administration.

CSSI Project Positions

Associate Professor-cum-Deputy Director:

• Ph.D. in any Social Science subject.
• Master’s degree with at least 55%.
• At least 8 years’ teaching/research experience at Assistant Professor-equivalent level.
• At least 7 peer-reviewed publications and research score of 75.

Assistant Professor-cum-Assistant Director:

• Master’s degree with 55% in Social Science.
• UGC/CSIR NET or equivalent SLET/SET, or eligible Ph.D. under the specified UGC provisions.

Job/Position Description- 

Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), a Central University located in Lucknow, invites online applications from eligible candidates for various Teaching Positions across its academic departments at the main campus in Lucknow and Satellite Centre at Amethi. The recruitment includes regular, deputation, tenure, and project-based positions.
