About-  Heriot-Watt is a specialist, pioneering University, with a global presence, world renowned, innovative research and highly employable graduates. This PhD research aims to devise a project valuation and decision framework that incorporates the dynamics of the new carbon economy. Compared to traditional models, new constraints are in place, yet at the same time, novel ways of value creation have also appeared. If a project saves on CO2 emissions by using (usually less efficient and more expensive) renewable solutions, then we should consistently account for all the costs and benefits, including the benefits of savings on CO2 allowances.

CRG International PhD Fellowships Programme- 2020 in Spain

DST-STI-PFP Fellowships – for Master, doctoral and post doctoral levels

Eligibility/Qualification– This scholarship is available to applicants from the UK, EU and overseas.

Job/Position Description-  The scholarship will cover tuition fees and provide an annual stipend of approximately £15,009 for the 36 month duration of the project.

How to Apply- 

Complete online application form. Please select PhD Petroleum Engineering within the application and include the project reference, title and supervisor names on your application. If these details are not included your application may not be considered. 

Applicants may only apply for ONE of the project topics offered by the Institute of GeoEnergy Engineering.

Also provide a supporting statements (1-5 A4 pages), outlining how you would approach your research. This should be uploaded to the ‘project proposal’ section of the application form. You will also be required to upload a CV, a copy of your degree certificate and relevant transcripts and one academic reference.

You must also provide proof of your ability in the English language (if English is not your mother tongue or if you have not already studied for a degree that was taught in English).

University require an IELTS certificate showing an overall score of at least 6.5 with no component scoring less than 6.0 or a TOEFL certificate with a minimum score of 90 points.

Last Date for Apply– 2 February 2020

The closing date for applications is Sunday 2 February 2020.

Applications will be reviewed throughout March and applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by April 2020.

Applicants MUST be available to start the course of study in September 2020.
