Eligibility / Qualification
Department of Zoology
- Essential:
- M.Sc. in Zoology with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
- NET qualification (UGC/CSIR) required.
- Ph.D. holders (as per UGC 2009 regulations) are exempted from NET.
Department of Microbial Biotechnology
- Essential:
- Master’s Degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Microbial Biotechnology or allied subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ph.D. degree holders before 19 Sept 1991).
- NET qualification (UGC/CSIR/SLET/SET) required.
- Ph.D. holders (meeting UGC conditions) exempted from NET.
- Desirable: Ph.D. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / allied fields.
Job Description
- Teaching postgraduate classes in the respective departments during odd semester 2025–2026.
- Appointment on a lecture basis with honorarium of ₹1500/- per lecture (subject to a maximum of ₹50,000/- per month).
- Candidate must undertake not to draw fellowship/stipend/financial assistance from any agency during teaching.
- Candidates availing JRF in PU are not entitled to honorarium but will receive an experience certificate.

- Applicants must also provide No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer.
