Independent Postdoctoral Fellows: The Simons Centre at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) is inviting applications for independent postdoctoral fellows. We have multiple positions available for talented researchers who can develop an independent research program in collaboration with the Simons Centre. If you’re a physicist, chemist, mathematician, engineer, or computer scientist with a strong interest in biology, we welcome you to apply and be a part of our collaborative and dynamic research environment.

Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates should hold a PhD in a relevant field by the start of the position (January 2024). We are seeking candidates from diverse backgrounds including physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, and computer science. A strong interest in biology and the ability to develop an independent research program in collaboration with the Simons Centre are essential.

Job Description: The selected candidates will be expected to develop and lead their own independent research projects in alignment with the research goals of the Simons Centre. Collaborative engagement with members of the centre is encouraged. Successful candidates will give a research seminar and participate in an interview process. The results will be announced before the end of the year, with the opportunity for the selected fellows to commence their positions in January 2024.
