Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, India invites application for Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow from eligible and interested candidates

About- Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the areas of the mathematical modeling and numerical computations of flow and transport through porous media. The selected candidate will be carrying research along with Prof. Satyajit Pramanik
in the above areas, and will be funded by the institute.

Research/Job Area- Mechanical/Chemistry/Physics or a related area

Location- Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Punjab

Eligibility/Qualification–

Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical/Chemistry/Physics or a related area who meet one of the following criteria are eligible to apply against this advertisement:
a. have completed their Ph.D. within the last five years from the date of advertisement.
b. have submitted the thesis. However, in case of selection, the selected candidate has to complete the Ph.D. viva (defense) within three months from the date of joining.
c. If the candidate has done Ph.D. under the supervision/co-supervision by faculty members of IIT Ropar, 3 years of completion of their Ph.D.
d. has published papers in the area of synthesis of new polymeric materials or manufacturing of medical/electrochemical devices in international journals of repute and must have good communication and writing skills in English.

Project Requirements:
a. Expertise in synthesis and characterization of polymeric nano-materials
b. Fabrication and testing of medical or electrochemical devices
c. Good communication and writing skills in English

Job/Position Description-

Ropar Mechanics of Materials Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Ropar (www.iitrpr.ac.in/rmml) is looking for a postdoctoral research fellow to work on the experimental project Development of Micro Injection Molding Process for Manufacturing of Bioresorbable Polymeric Stents.
The position is contractual (renewable up to three years based on satisfactory progress and relevant recommendations on yearly basis), and will be funded by the IIT Ropar under the institute postdoctoral fellowship scheme.
As per the institute postdoctoral fellowship (Rs. 40,000/- before the viva, Rs. 45,000/- to Rs. 55,000/- after completion of viva and depending upon the experience and qualification).
