SMSc/PhD Position on 6PPD Project: Queen’s University is seeking a graduate student for an MSc or PhD position focused on the ecotoxicological effects of the tire antioxidant 6PPD on freshwater ecosystems. This project aims to investigate the environmental occurrence and impact of 6PPD, with a collaborative effort from the Queen’s Experimental Ecotoxicology for Environmental Policy research team and Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Description

The successful candidate will be co-supervised by Dr. Diane Orihel (Associate Professor, Queen’s University) and Dr. Stacey Robinson (Adjunct Professor, Queen’s University, Research Scientist at Environment and Climate Change Canada). The position includes writing collaborative evidence synthesis and potential development of field-based research projects. Students will benefit from a competitive stipend, which may include support from various awards such as the NSERC.
