MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme: The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) is receiving proposals for the Postdoctoral Fellowship Training Scheme for Incoming Postdocs to Malta (PF2MT). The scheme supports travel and accommodation expenses for experienced researchers willing to submit a proposal with a Maltese entity host for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship call with a deadline of 13th September 2023. The support will be in the form of a lump sum grant and participation in a one-day MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship training that will be held on 12th July 2023 in Malta.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • The researcher must possess a doctoral degree.
  • The researcher should not have more than eight years of full-time research experience since the Ph.D. was awarded.
  • The applicant must comply with the Postdoctoral Fellowship eligibility and mobility rules of the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions of the Horizon Europe program.
  • The selected beneficiary/host organization must be a legal entity established in Malta and must employ and supervise the researcher during the action.
  • Applicants with already identified supervisors from a Maltese entity host will be considered eligible.
  • Applicants who have applied for the MSCA PF call 2022 and received a score of less than 70% will be ineligible to resubmit in the 2023 call and thus ineligible to apply for this scheme.
  • Applicants who have already attended the PF2MT masterclass organized in Malta in July 2022 will be ineligible to apply again.

Call for Proposals for Postdoctoral Fellowship Training Scheme for Incoming Postdocs to Malta (PF2MT)

The successful applicant will participate in a one-day MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship training that will be held on 12th July 2023 in Malta. The support will be in the form of a lump sum grant to cover travel and accommodation expenses. Participants will receive 50% of the lump sum grant following their participation in the training, while the remaining 50% will be sent following submitting an application with Maltese beneficiary/Maltese entity as a host.

How to Apply: Applicants are invited to submit their application by the latest noon (CET) on 31st May 2023. The application must include a project idea, the applicant’s full updated CV, details of the host entity/beneficiary, and the supervisor. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
