Eligibility / Qualification

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a closely related field
  • Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry
  • Experience with analytical techniques related to chemical synthesis
  • Motivation to learn new methods and work in an international, interdisciplinary research team
  • Good communication skills and a proactive research mindset

Job Description

  • Synthesis of polyaromatic compounds using modern and catalytic synthetic approaches
  • Development of functional materials for:
    • Battery applications
    • Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs)
    • Molecular photoswitches
    • OLED emitting materials
  • Structuring of small molecules into advanced functional systems
  • Collaboration with national and international research groups
  • Teaching opportunities including lab courses and tutorials
  • Participation in fully funded international conferences

The exact PhD research topic will be individually tailored in discussion with selected candidates.
