Open-Rank Tenure-Track Positions: The School of Biological Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology is inviting applications for tenure-track faculty positions in Quantitative Biosciences. The positions are open to candidates of all ranks and are focused on research programs in both macro- and microscopic natural communities. They seek applicants exploring theoretical and experimental aspects of microbial ecology, host-microbe interactions, or interactions in marine, aquatic, or terrestrial systems that emphasize understanding community organization or ecosystem function. Candidates should contribute to the department’s strengths in microbial dynamics, ecology, and evolutionary biology. The successful candidates will also engage with the interdisciplinary QBios Graduate Program and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students.

The responsibilities of the positions include:

  • Developing a nationally recognized and extramurally funded research program
  • Teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in biological sciences
  • Advising and mentoring biological sciences undergraduate and graduate students
  • Service to the public, the university (including departmental governance), and the profession
