Description
The PhD project involves:
- Predicting metabolic activity in complex microbial communities using advanced computational tools.
- Assessing the impact of microbial effectors on microbiomes.
- Developing intervention strategies, including targeted knockouts of undesirable taxa/functions.
- Improving existing tools for microbiome modeling.
The position is part of the METAMIC 3 project, addressing One Health challenges through a unique training environment combining molecular biology, bioinformatics, and environmental science.
