Eligibility/Qualification

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Biomedicine, Bioinformatics, or related sciences (must be equivalent to a Danish masterโ€™s degree).
  • Strong GPA.
  • Relevant work experience and professional qualifications.
  • Publications in relevant fields.
  • Curiosity and interest in large datasets, nutrition, metabolomics, and cardiometabolic diseases.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).

Job Description

The PhD project will involve:

  • Investigating the molecular mechanisms linking plant-based diets to cardiometabolic health using high-dimensional multi-omics data.
  • Integrating dietary, clinical, and epidemiological data from various cohorts and randomized controlled trials (like PLANETDIET).
  • Management and harmonization of large-scale datasets.
  • Statistical and bioinformatic analyses of multi-omics data.
  • Writing and publishing scientific papers.
  • Presenting findings at international conferences.
  • Encouragement to develop independent research ideas and opportunities for collaboration with international partners.
