Eligibility/Qualification
Applicants should possess:
- A B.S. and M.S. degree in:
- Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Extractive Metallurgy
- Mineral Processing
- Materials Science and Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Or a closely related discipline.
Preferred qualifications include experience in one or more of the following:
- Chemical synthesis, materials fabrication, and characterization
- Functional materials such as nanoparticles, membranes, composites, aerogels, hydrogels, resins, and adsorbents
- Colloid and interface science
- Electrochemical systems, electrocatalysis, electrodialysis, and electrochemical separations
- Computational chemistry, density functional theory (DFT), molecular dynamics (MD), Monte Carlo simulations, or molecular-scale modeling
Job Description
The selected Ph.D. researcher will join the Separation & Purification Technologies Research Group and contribute to cutting-edge research focused on sustainable resource recovery and advanced separation technologies. Responsibilities include developing novel materials and processes, conducting laboratory experiments, performing material characterization, analyzing data, and collaborating on interdisciplinary research projects related to critical minerals, wastewater treatment, and recycling technologies.
