Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD or equivalent in Engineering, Environment, Energy Systems Analysis, or related fields
- Demonstrated expertise in energy transition and urban decarbonization
- Familiarity with modeling tools focusing on holistic analysis of energy systems in urban contexts
- Proven experience in applying quantitative and qualitative skills to analyze energy systems and technological transition
- Proficiency in GIS, preferably ArcGIS, for mapping renewable energy potentials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Command of the Portuguese language preferred
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting techno-economic and social analysis of integrated urban planning and design solutions to achieve climate neutrality and reduce GHG emissions
- Analyzing urban regeneration solutions with a focus on the built environment
- Developing and testing urban regeneration models and methodologies
- Support project management activities and ensure effective implementation of project deliverables
- Preparation of scientific publications and participation in dissemination and discussion activities
- Contribution to national and international scientific collaborations
