Eligibility / Qualification

  • MSc (or nearly completed) in ecology, quantitative biology, environmental science, applied statistics, or a closely related field.
  • Strong computational skills and familiarity with population ecology concepts.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Valid European driving license is preferred.
  • Experience with ecological fieldwork and/or handling and ringing birds is an advantage.

Job Description

  • Conduct and help organize demographic fieldwork.
  • Build, validate, and document a spatially explicit Integrated Population Model (IPM).
  • Integrate multi-source data relating to chick growth, predation, and habitat selection.
  • Design and analyze management scenarios in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Write scientific papers and present at conferences and project meetings.
  • Contribute to teaching undergraduate and master students (maximum 10% of time).
