Job Description:
The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic team dedicated to unraveling the biological mechanisms underlying age-related protein toxicity. The focus will be on identifying evolutionary conserved regulators and mechanisms driving this toxicity, including metabolic and microbiome-derived factors. The research will involve genetic screens in the nematode C. elegans and active collaboration with clinicians and industry to accelerate potential applications for human health. The PhD student will be enrolled in the Graduate School of Medical Sciences at the University of Groningen.
