Project Summary
The IMBRAIN project aims to uncover the complex interactions between the brain and the immune system. Specifically, the research will focus on neurodevelopmental deficits in inborn errors of immunity, using APDS (Activated PI3K delta syndrome) as a primary disease model. The project uniquely combines patient-centered clinical work with pre-clinical molecular and behavioral experiments in mouse models.

Job Description
As a PhD candidate for the IMBRAIN project, you will bridge the gap between immunology, neuroscience, and psychology. Your responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Research: Conducting patient interviews and testing.
- Pre-clinical Research: Performing molecular and behavioral experiments using mouse models.
- Collaboration: Working within a highly collaborative network, including opportunities to utilize state-of-the-art facilities at UMC and the NIN.
