PhD Pilot Program 2024: The Center is inviting applications for the PhD Pilot Program 2024 to support scholars with doctorate degrees in humanities and social sciences. This program aims to foster research, encourage publication, and enhance career development through expanded communication networks.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  1. Nationals, foreign nationals, and individuals from Hong Kong and Macao with a doctoral degree in humanities or social sciences.
  2. Applicants must have completed the doctoral thesis oral examination, obtained a certificate before the application deadline, and acquired a diploma before formal registration.
  3. Applicants must not be students of domestic or foreign tertiary institutions during the employment period.
  4. Non-Chinese native speakers should indicate Chinese language ability.

Job Description:

  1. Conduct research and publish findings.
  2. Attend academic conferences.
  3. Assist in relevant center activities.
  4. Participate in short-term internships in designated industry units.

How to Apply:
Apply through the online system (available from February 26). Submit the following electronic documents:

  1. Application form.
  2. Academic resume (including bibliography).
  3. Research plan (limited to five pages).
  4. Photocopy of degree certificate or temporary certification for recent graduates.
  5. Doctoral thesis with abstracts in Chinese and English, or a rewritten special book.
  6. Up to three representative works merged into a single file.

Additional Information:

  • The salary aligns with National Science and Technology Commission standards, approximately NT$60,000-65,000 monthly.
  • The appointment period includes two phases: July 1 to December 31, 2024, and January 1 to December 31, 2025 (subject to approval).
  • Admission results will be announced at the end of May via email.
