Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Investigate the specific functions of distinct limb progenitor cell populations in generating digit patterns through lineage tracing in wild-type and genetically altered mouse models.
- Assess the effects of genetic ablation of specific progenitor populations on digit organogenesis.
- Utilize advanced CRISPR/Cas9 based transgene technology to explore how modifications in limb progenitor blueprints affect digit numbers and identities in context of congenital malformations and evolutionary diversification, particularly in Artiodactyla and birds.
