  • University degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Physics, or related fields.

  • Computational skills or experience in statistical analysis are advantageous.
  • Excellent technical skills, good interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm for applying and developing new techniques.

Job Description:

PhD Position in Cryo Electron Microscopy of Rhodopsin Cyclases (f/m/d)

As a PhD candidate, you will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and analyzing data using single particle cryo electron microscopy.
  • Participating in experimental design and method development.
  • Collaborating closely with UniSysCat cluster of excellence and Prof. Peter Hegemann’s group (HU Berlin).
  • Handling multi-protein complexes, high-resolution cryo-EM imaging, image processing, 3D reconstruction, and molecular modeling.
