Location: Brainergy Park Jülich, Germany
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience in the field of energy storage.
- Knowledge of X-ray methods and programming languages (ideally Python).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Independent and self-motivated with excellent teamwork skills.
- High motivation to take on responsibility and contribute to the development of research ideas.
Job Description:
- Conduct operando investigations on the dimethyl ether/CO2 system for the hydrogen storage cycle.
- Develop measurement set-ups with a focus on X-ray methods.
- Perform X-ray investigations on modern laboratory instruments.
- Coordinate and execute synchrotron beam times.
- Publish and present results in high-ranking journals and conferences.
- Collaborate with other research groups.
- Support in the preparation of third-party funding proposals.
- Assist in establishing the institute.
