PhD Position in AI-based Multi-camera Data Analysis
Location: Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Eindhoven, Netherlands
Eligibility/Qualification:
- MSc degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Background knowledge in image processing, 3D (or multi-view) geometry, and excellent programming skills.
- Experience with depth data, point-cloud data processing, and NeRF models is highly desired.
- Proficiency in Deep Learning algorithms.
- Excellent academic writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Description: The PhD candidate will research and develop AI models for multi-camera data analysis and synthetic video generation. Key challenges include real-time free viewpoint video generation, efficient mapping for multiple viewers, and ensuring accuracy and photorealism of synthetic videos. The position offers full-time employment for four years, with opportunities for teaching tasks and professional development. The candidate will work in the Video Coding Architecture group within the Department of Electrical Engineering at TU/e.
