Scholarship Description:
The PhD project will focus on developing and refining methods for real-time analysis of metabolic traces in exhaled breath. The aim is to enable direct clinical applications through innovative approaches in mass spectrometry and data analysis. The project offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with leading experts in the field of breath research and to measure and analyze real patient data.
Eligibility:
- Successfully completed master’s degree in Chemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Medical Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming skills, especially in Matlab.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with mass spectrometric techniques are advantageous.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to work with children (Children’s Hospital: conducting breath measurements).
- High motivation to contribute to a multidisciplinary and international team.
