Research Area

The doctoral project will focus on:

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Completed second-cycle level degree (Master’s) or equivalent education (240 ECTS, including at least 60 ECTS at the second-cycle level).
  • Minimum of 90 ECTS in relevant subjects at first-cycle level, with at least 15 ECTS at the second-cycle level in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge and experience in biochemistry, structural biology, and molecular biology (e.g., cloning, protein purification, cell culture).
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written).

Merits

  • Experience in infection biology, prior virology experience, and familiarity with Linux operating systems.

Job Description

The main tasks will include:

  • Pursuing doctoral studies and participating in research and doctoral courses.
  • Contributing to teaching and departmental work (up to 20%).
  • Engaging with virology groups both locally and internationally.
  • Training in cellular cryogenic electron tomography (cryo-ET) for data collection and processing.
