Research Area

The focus of this research is on the incorporation of trace metals (e.g., Fe and Mo) during the electrochemical production of green hydrogen, exploring how these metals affect catalytic activity at the molecular level.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in spectroscopy and electrochemistry.
  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Good technical experimental skills.
  • Comfort in collaborative settings and complex experimental environments.
  • Prior experience with electrochemistry, vacuum equipment, or in situ spectroscopy is advantageous.

Description

The project aims to advance our understanding of the surface chemistry of metal incorporation and the molecular-level mechanisms that enhance electrocatalytic activity. Candidates will utilize both in-house X-ray spectroscopy setups and synchrotron facilities. This PhD is ideal for individuals passionate about electrochemistry and advanced measurement techniques.
