Eligibility/Qualification
- An excellent master’s degree in materials science, electrochemistry, inorganic, or organic chemistry.
- Project experience with lithium metal or ion batteries.
- Familiarity with assembling cells and conducting electrochemical cycling tests.
- Solid knowledge of electrochemistry or relevant project experience.
- Experience in operating scanning electron microscopy/focused ion beam is preferred.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Job Description
The PhD candidate will tackle fundamental issues in battery technology, including short cycle life and dendrite formation, by utilizing advanced techniques such as atom probe tomography. The candidate will work in a state-of-the-art research center dedicated to interface-dominated high-performance materials, contributing to significant advancements in battery science.
