Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualifications

A doctoral (Ph.D.) degree or MTech with a minimum 3 years of experience in research, teaching, or design and development with specialization in Applied Mechanics/Engineering Mechanics and Design/ Computational Mechanics/Design (Mechanical Engineering)/Stress Analysis/Solid Mechanics or any other relevant discipline with at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal.

Desirable

As per DST norms (The upper age limit can be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD or Female candidates).

Age Limit :

As per the SERB guidelines.

Job/Position Description-

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of RA-I (on contract) in research project entitled “Multiphysics modelling of lightning strike, prediction of damage and subsequent performance analysis of composite panels” funded by Aeronautics Research & Development Board (AR&DB, DRDO).

Name of Position	:	Research Associate-I (01post)
Tenure of Appointment	:	Initially, the appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of one year.The contract can be extended based on performance review, availability of the fund and continuation of the project only. Maximum duration of this position is for 18 months.
Fellowship	:	Rs. 58,000/- per month. 20% HRA shall be admissible in case of nonavailability of accommodation at the Institute
Other Benefits	:	Facility of yearly leave, carryover leave, medical benefits etc. may be available as per applicable rules of the project staff
