Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, specifically focusing on oxidation behavior, experimental measurements, and ab-initio calculations.

Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential: Ph.D. in Materials Engineering / Metallurgy / Materials Science and Engineering / Nanoscience and Technology / Energy Science and Technology, or a Ph.D. in Chemistry / Physics / Materials Science and a relevant area.
Desirable: A background in computational materials science.
Job Description:
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a time-bounded Research Associate (RA) position in the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering (MSME) at IIT Hyderabad. The chosen candidate will enroll in and work on the research project titled “Oxidation behaviour of multicomponent CoCrNi-Tax alloys: experimental measurements and ab-initio calculations”.
Designation Research Associate (RA) – One position
- Work on the research project regarding the oxidation behavior of multicomponent CoCrNi-Tax alloys.
- Receive a consolidated fellowship stipend of Rs. 50,000 per month.
- The project duration is for 1 year.
- The tentative expected joining date is 01/11/2026.
- Work under the guidance of Principal Investigator Dr. Mayur Vaidya (vaidyam@msme.iith.ac.in) and Co-investigator Prof. Atul S. Deshpande (atuldeshpande@msme.iith.ac.in).
