Eligibility/Qualification–
The candidate should possess
- A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics (A candidate who submitted his/her thesis is also eligible);
- A solid background in Functional analysis, Operator theory, and Lie groups.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral position in the areas of Operator algebras, Noncommutative geometry, and Quantum groups. The postdoc student will be principally involved in a project titled “Topological invariance of compact Lie groups and their homogeneous spaces.” The project is sponsored by National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM). The selected candidate will be carrying out research along with Prof. Bipul Saurabh in the above areas and will be funded by the institute. Name of the position: Postdoctoral position
Salary: Rs. 40,000-50,000 per month plus HRA
Duration: 1 year
Apart from research, the applicant will be expected to contribute to other academic activities of the Institute, including teaching.
