Eligibility/Qualification –

Essential Qualification

Applicants should possess:

• PhD in Chemistry or Life Sciences
• Good research experience
• Strong publication record

Desirable Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates having research experience in:

• Chemical Biology
• Neuroscience
• Biomedical Sciences
• RNA Therapeutics
• Small Molecule Therapeutics
• Peptide Therapeutics
• Related areas aligned with the project objectives

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 35 years

Job/Position Description – 

The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru has invited applications for the post of Research Associate (RA) under an ANRF-sponsored research project titled “Functional Validation of the miR-7a-KLF4 Axis in Neuroinflammation and Alzheimer’s Disease and Development of Nanocarrier-Based Delivery Systems for Small Molecules, miRNA Mimics and Peptide Therapeutics.” The position is temporary and will be carried out under the guidance of Prof. T. Govindaraju at the New Chemistry Unit (NCU), JNCASR.

Candidates holding a PhD in Chemistry or Life Sciences with relevant research experience are encouraged to apply. The last date to submit the application is 09 July 2026.

• Monthly Fellowship: ₹58,000 + applicable HRA

The selected Research Associate will work under the supervision of Prof. T. Govindaraju in the New Chemistry Unit (NCU), JNCASR on the ANRF-funded research project focused on understanding the miR-7a-KLF4 signaling axis in neuroinflammation and Alzheimer’s disease and developing advanced nanocarrier-based delivery systems for therapeutic molecules including small molecules, miRNA mimics, and peptides.

The candidate is expected to conduct high-quality interdisciplinary research, perform laboratory experiments, analyze scientific data, contribute to publications, and actively support the successful execution of the project.
