Job Description:
The PhD researcher will work on advancing lithium solid-state batteries by:
- Developing sustainable methods for processing catholyte composites, aiming to replace complex and energy-intensive techniques.
- Enhancing compatibility between battery components (cathode, electrolyte, separator, and anode) to improve performance and longevity.
- Investigating interface stability, ion transport, and mechanical/electrochemical degradation mechanisms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Synthesis, characterization, and optimization of catholyte materials.
- Development and testing of solid-state battery cells to evaluate their electro-chemo-mechanical properties.
- Performing in-depth structural and chemical characterization using advanced techniques (e.g., X-ray and neutron diffraction, spectroscopy, microscopy).
