Computer Science & Engineering: Foundational CSE, AI & Data-Driven Computing, Cybersecurity, Cloud/Edge/IoT, Hardware-Software Co-Design.
Electronics & Communication Engineering: 5G/6G, Signal/Image Processing, VLSI, Embedded Systems.

Eligibility/Qualification–

All educational qualifications, experiences, and age limits are considered as of the closing date of the application. The minimum educational eligibility is as follows:

Engineering Departments: First Class in B.Tech./B.E. with a Ph.D. in the relevant branch/discipline.
Science / Humanities / Social Sciences Departments: First Class in Masters’ Degree with a Ph.D. in the relevant branch/discipline.
School of Management: First Class in MBA/M.Tech./M.Sc./LLM or equivalent with a Ph.D. in the relevant branch/discipline.
Planning and Architecture:
- Assistant Professor Grade II: First Class in B.Arch. and M.Arch./M.Plan. or equivalent.
- Assistant Professor Grade I & higher: First Class in B.Arch. and M.Arch./M.Plan. or equivalent with a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline. (Note: Detailed educational qualifications and experience criteria are as per Schedule ‘E’ of the NIT Statute).

Job/Position Description-

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is inviting applications for various faculty positions. The institute is seeking Indian nationals who possess an excellent academic background, a strong commitment to quality teaching and research, and a propensity for institutional development across various specializations in Engineering, Architecture, Science, Humanities, and Management.

Selected faculty members will be expected to:

Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Conduct high-impact research in their respective specialized fields.
Actively participate in and contribute to institutional development and academic administration.
Engage in continuous professional development (supported by the Institute’s Professional Development Allowance and Seed Money for research projects).
