Description

The PhD candidate will engage in research that focuses on understanding how disorder impacts structural stability and properties of materials. The role involves:

  • Developing models of structural disorder based on periodic average structures and crystal chemistry.
  • Generating datasets to train machine learning models.
  • Simulating diffraction patterns and comparing them to experimental data.
  • Creating a generalized machine learning-based workflow for interpreting diffuse scattering.
