Eligibility/Qualification

  • Excellent master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Material Science, or a similar discipline.
  • Previous experience in fundamental or applied electrochemistry, with a preference for backgrounds in water electrolysis or fuel cells.
  • Strong motivation to pursue research in a multidisciplinary project related to optimization of electrocatalysts.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.

Job Description

As a PhD candidate, you will:

  • Characterize catalyst performance and degradation in PEM water electrolysis.
  • Conduct mechanistic investigations of catalyst degradation processes in PEM and liquid acid environments.
  • Collaborate with catalyst synthesis and theory groups to design advanced electrocatalysts.
  • Develop and optimize methods and techniques related to electrochemical characterization.
